Apple Confirmed Fingerprint Authentication in Future iPhone

There is no confusion that iPhone is the greatest phone and product of Apple Inc. & Steve Jobs, this is the god of today’s smartphone market. In today’s date iPhone is a style icon and most admired gadget of young generation. Everyone like to have a iPhone because of its awesome and totally unique features such as:

  • Siri {Intelligent personal assistant, do anything by voice}
  • iCloud {Store Everything over Cloud}
  • iSight Camera {Best Webcam Quality}
  • iOS 5 {iPhone’s New Operating System}
  • HD Video Recording {Video Recording at 1080p}
  • Retina display {With High Resolution}
  • FaceTime {Video Calling over Wi-Fi}
  • AirPrint {Use Printer Easily Anywhere}
  • AirPlay {Play phone music via Apple TV and Speakers}

These are really great features of Apple iPhone 4S but then also we need even more, and hence we always expect for new features in next iPhone. And I believe that most people want to have the fingerprint scanning features in their iPhone, that makes people feel and look more techie. Recently after the launch of latest iPhone 4S we heard that next iPhone will feature the fingerprint scanner technology but it was just like other rumors which doesn’t seems to be really possible.

But now that seems to be possible or you can say it is going to there for sure, today engadget.com published a news that Apple decided to buy fingerprint sensor maker AuthenTec for $356 million, Which already worked with a number of high profile hardware makers, such as Samsung, Lenovo, LG, Nokia and Motorola for integrating fingerprint feature in their devices. If Apple really buys this then it will be very clear indication that they are planning to have Fingerprint authentication in their future devices.

If everything goes as expected then we might have the fingerprint scanner at the back side of the iPhone because I think Apple will not compromise to iPhone’s look by adding a scanner at front side, but if they integrated the scanner in screen then believe me it will increase the price of iPhone more than 7% of now.

AuthenTec also do business in contactless payment systems so we might also expect this feature in next apple store upgrade.

One more thing I would like to specify that although this news is from very trusted source but then also we can not be 100% sure so we will have to wait until it is confirmed officially by Apple Inc.
