Cadence Unveils Next-Generation AI Supercomputer Powered by Nvidia Blackwell GPUs

Cadence has launched its latest AI supercomputer, the Millennium M2000, featuring cutting-edge Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs. The announcement came during the CadenceLIVE Silicon Valley 2025 event, marking a major advancement in computational capabilities.

The M2000 supercomputer delivers up to 80 times better performance compared to CPU-based systems while reducing power consumption by 20 times across applications. This remarkable efficiency stems from the integration of Nvidia's HGX B200 systems and CUDA-X tools.

The system targets three main application areas: electronic design automation (EDA), system design and analysis (SDA), and drug discovery. Major tech companies including Intel, AMD, Apple, and Nvidia already utilize Cadence's tools for chip development. The company has also expanded into other sectors, with organizations like NASA and GE employing its systems for computational fluid dynamics.

"The Millennium M2000 Supercomputer will drive the next leap in AI-accelerated engineering," stated Cadence CEO and President Anirudh Devgan. He emphasized the system's ability to push boundaries in AI infrastructure, physical AI systems, and pharmaceutical research.

Priced at approximately $2 million per unit, the M2000 positions itself in the mid-range of AI computing solutions. This places it between affordable options like the $15,000 TinyBox AI accelerator and massive installations like Musk's Memphis Supercluster, estimated at $3-4 billion.

A key advantage for companies acquiring the M2000 is the ability to have Cadence customize the system to their specific requirements, eliminating the need to rely on external data centers or hyperscalers for computing power.

The launch of the M2000 represents a major step forward in making high-performance AI computing more accessible and efficient for organizations across multiple industries.
