Disney Parks is making food ordering more convenient for iPhone users with a new mobile tracking feature that launched today across select dining locations at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.

The new capability allows guests to monitor their mobile food and beverage orders directly from their iPhone's Lock Screen or Dynamic Island, eliminating the need to repeatedly open the My Disney Experience or Disneyland apps to check order status.

Using Apple's Live Activities feature, guests can view their order number, status updates, and pickup location at a glance. The Lock Screen tracking also enables users to tap an "I'm Here, Prepare My Order" button when they arrive, signaling the kitchen to begin preparation.

The feature works on iPhones running iOS 16.1 or later for Lock Screen functionality. Enhanced tracking through the Dynamic Island is available specifically for iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15, and iPhone 16 models.

To access the new tracking capability, guests need to update their My Disney Experience or Disneyland mobile apps to the latest version. The feature is currently available at select quick-service dining locations throughout both resort properties, with plans to expand to additional venues.

This enhancement builds upon Disney's existing mobile ordering system, which allows guests to browse menus, customize items, and pay for meals through the parks' official apps. The new Lock Screen integration aims to streamline the food pickup process while helping visitors maximize their time enjoying attractions and entertainment.

While the feature is currently exclusive to iOS devices, Disney has not yet announced plans for Android compatibility.
