OnePlus has officially launched its latest premium wireless earbuds, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3, building upon the success of their predecessor with a range of improvements and refinements.
Redesigned Charging Case
The most noticeable change is the completely revamped charging case. Drawing inspiration from both the Pixel Buds Pro and AirPods Pro, the new case features a two-tone design with a textured PU leather finish and a colorful band around the edges. This redesign not only enhances the aesthetics but also improves functionality, housing the earbuds in a vertical position.
Audio Enhancements
The Buds Pro 3 boast a dual-driver setup, featuring an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter in each earbud. OnePlus has incorporated two Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs) per earbud, focusing individually on the woofer and tweeter for improved audio quality. The company has once again partnered with Dynaudio for tuning, aiming to deliver a superior listening experience.
Improved Active Noise Cancellation
OnePlus claims the Buds Pro 3 offer up to 50dB of noise cancellation, a slight increase from the previous model. The earbuds also feature an Adaptive mode that automatically adjusts noise cancellation levels based on the surrounding environment.
Battery Life and Connectivity
With the charging case, users can expect up to 43 hours of total listening time. The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.4, Google Fast Pair, and dual device connection. They also feature wireless charging capabilities and carry an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance.
New Controls and Features
The Buds Pro 3 introduce new stem-based controls, including a slide gesture for volume adjustment. They also support Google's Spatial Audio technology, enhancing compatibility with the broader Android ecosystem.
Pricing and Availability
The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are priced at $179.99, with a launch discount bringing the cost down to $149.99. They are available in two color options: Midnight Opus (black) and Lunar Radiance (cream). Customers can purchase the earbuds directly from OnePlus's website, with wider retail availability expected in the coming weeks.
With these updates, OnePlus aims to compete with high-end offerings from Apple and Samsung while maintaining a competitive price point in the premium wireless earbud market.
