Samsung Electronics is set to revolutionize its product lineup with cutting-edge AI technologies, as revealed through recent patent filings ahead of next month's Galaxy S25 launch event.

The tech giant has developed an innovative AI-powered photo editing feature that can seamlessly remove unwanted objects or people from images while maintaining background integrity. This advancement allows users to select and eliminate unwanted elements, with AI automatically extending and blending the background for natural-looking results.

In the augmented reality space, Samsung's new AR glasses incorporate gaze-tracking sensors that intelligently position app interfaces based on where users look. The smart eyewear also includes a virtual compass for enhanced navigation within the AR environment.

The company has also patented an adaptable smart ring design featuring elastic materials that can automatically adjust sizing for optimal comfort. This represents a notable improvement over the current Galaxy Ring's fixed size options.

At the January 22 launch event, Samsung is expected to showcase the Galaxy S25 series, comprising Standard, Plus, and Ultra models. All devices will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and feature an enhanced version of the Bixby AI assistant.

The event may also introduce "Project Moohan," Samsung's XR glasses developed in partnership with Google and Qualcomm. The device is expected to integrate Google Gemini AI chatbot capabilities. Additionally, rumors suggest the debut of Galaxy Ring 2, boasting improved features and a sleeker design.

This product refresh comes at a critical time for Samsung's Mobile eXperience division, which saw a 14.5% decline in operating profit during the third quarter. The company aims to reinvigorate consumer interest through these AI-driven innovations and new form factors.
