Valve has introduced certified refurbished versions of its popular Steam Deck OLED gaming handheld at substantially reduced prices, offering gamers a more affordable entry point to portable PC gaming.
The refurbished 512GB Steam Deck OLED model is now available for $439, while the 1TB anti-glare version is priced at $519. These prices represent savings of up to $110 compared to brand-new units, with the refurbished 1TB model costing less than a new 512GB version.
Each refurbished unit undergoes rigorous quality control at Valve's facilities, including over 100 tests and battery health verification. The company states that these units match or exceed the performance of new devices, though they may have minor cosmetic imperfections. Every purchase includes a carrying case, power supply, and one-year warranty.
The Steam Deck OLED, launched in November 2023, features improved battery life, enhanced performance, and a superior display compared to its LCD predecessor. The device remains a top choice for portable PC gaming, combining strong performance with user-friendly operation.
The refurbished units are currently available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and European Union. While Valve also offers refurbished LCD models starting at $279, these units are currently out of stock.
Valve has indicated that a next-generation Steam Deck is not planned for the immediate future, as the company awaits technological advances that would enable substantial performance improvements without compromising battery life.
