Today Samsung launched a new series called ‘OnSeries’ which currently constitute two devices, Galaxy On5 and On7. The devices are currently only available through #Flipkart same as the J series.
On Flipkar currently Samsung Galaxy On5 is priced Rs. 8990 and Galaxy On7 is Priced at Rs. 10,990 which is even lower than the J series.
In this update we will see what these new smartphones are to offer in the smartphone market and how these devices differ from each other.
1. Samsung Galaxy On5
On5 five comes with really good specification for this price point, Android Lolipop v5.1 , 8MP rear camera, and Dual 4G supported SIM slots are just some of the highlights. With these specifications Samsung is going to give cutting edge competition to the Cheap Lenovo devices such as K3 Note and the Vibe series.
Display of this device the one of the biggest attractions, it comes with dazzling 5 inch TFT display with HD resolution (720p).
MixRadio is seems to be yet another bloatware, I don’t understand why Samsung always forces the user to use their sponsored app. I would say Saavn is much better.
Battery is same as the battery of Galaxy J5 i.e 2600 mAh, that will definitely provide you good backup time around 15 hours on 3G network.
Ultra Data Saving Mode is a new feature that Samsung is included in all their new smartphones, that claims to save up to 50% on your 4G data.
Camera in the On5 seems to be quite fair according to its price, it sports 8MP rear camera and 5MP Selfie camera on the front of the device.
Performance wise On5 has new hardwares assembled, Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and 1.5GB of RAM.
Storage Samsung On5 comes with 8 GB of internal storage which can be expanded to an additional 128 GB using a microSD card.
2. Samsung Galaxy On7
On7 comes with a premium golden color with leather look on the back cover, which I like a lot. There is not much difference in the On5 and On7 but there are definitely some, check below for detail.
Display of this On7 is half a inch bigger than the On5 display, it comes with capacitive 5.5 inch TFT display with HD resolution (720p) which provides excellent visuals.
Battery is bigger and better than the On5 as the battery of Galaxy On7 is 3100 mAh, that claims to backup time of around 21 hours on 3G network.
Ultra Data Saving Mode harnesses the power of 4G LTE and Wi-Fi on the Samsung Galaxy On7 to keep you running with saving up to 50% on your 4G data.
Camera of the On7 is very good it takes clear images and videos, it comes with 13MP rear camera and 5MP Selfie camera on the front of the device. It also has a palm gesture that quickly takes a selfie if you show your palm to the front camera.
Performance wise the On7 has a Quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU and 2GB of RAM, which is a little low in the clock speed if compared to On5.
Storage is same as On5 as it comes with 8 GB of internal storage which can be expanded to an additional 128 GB using a microSD card.
