Beats by Dre has unveiled the long-awaited successor to their popular Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds. The new Powerbeats Pro 2, priced at $249, brings several notable upgrades including heart rate monitoring and a more compact design.

The latest model features secure-fit earhooks that provide stability during workouts while maintaining all-day comfort. The audio quality delivers crystal clear sound with deep bass, and the earbuds now include active noise-cancellation technology.

A standout addition to the Powerbeats Pro 2 is the heart rate monitoring capability, allowing users to track their pulse during workouts and daily activities. The earbuds also offer wireless charging and come with a smaller charging case compared to the previous version.

Battery life impresses at up to 45 hours per charge, and the earbuds maintain the sweat and water resistance of their predecessor. As part of the Apple ecosystem, they provide seamless pairing with iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and Apple TV 4K devices, while remaining compatible with Android devices via Bluetooth.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 launches in four color options: jet black, quick sand, hyper purple, and electric orange. Each package includes the wireless earbuds, charging case, and multiple eartips in various sizes to ensure a proper fit.

The new earbuds mark the first update to the line in nearly six years, bringing modern features while maintaining the signature Beats audio quality that users have come to expect.

Available at Walmart starting February 13, the Powerbeats Pro 2 represents a comprehensive upgrade that combines fitness tracking capabilities with premium audio features.
